Every one of our Maverick Pilates Movement teachers are Body Control Pilates accredited. So what does this mean? Since 1996, Body Control Pilates has been at the forefront of the international growth in Pilates, pioneering the development of group matwork Pilates by creating innovative training programmes for teachers that ensured that, for the first time since Joseph Pilates developed his method almost 90 years ago, almost everyone would have access to the benefits that Pilates offers.
Today, BCP is widely seen as a benchmark for safe and effective teaching of the highest quality, with teachers working in more than 40 countries. It is Europe’s largest professional Pilates organisation and all certified teachers have, at a minimum, completed a comprehensive training course in Body Control Pilates matwork (Level 3).
All teachers work to a Code of Practice governing teaching standards, professional ethics and continuing education. Our teachers are additionally qualified in pre and post natal pilates, and are fully insured, so you can be confident that you will be in safe hands.
Perfectly suited to those with a hectic schedule, our 1 hour private classes offer true flexibility and a bespoke approach to your practice. One of the best things about matwork pilates is that you can do in anywhere! If you have space then we can come to you! Why not add a little movement into your workday, with pre, post or even lunchtime sessions brought to your office. For those with the room, we can provide full matwork classes, and for those where a more compact solution is required, we can also provide chair and standing sessions. And many companies have already felt the benefit, with Innocent Drinks, Vodaphone UK and The Edition Hotel all bringing Maverick into their workplace. We cater for groups of up to 14 people, with full one hour sessions and express 45 minute sessions available. Workplace pilates sessions are run for a minimum of six-week blocks, but one-off sessions, with options of wellness seminars, are also available on request.

Here at Maverick, we believe that there are many ways to ensure you are fit for life, and not just now. As well as offering pilates services, we also specialise in Personal Training, where will will help you reach your goals; whether that be weight loss, strength and conditioning or if you are training for a specific event. You can find us at The Gym Clinic in Chiswick; where we offer bespoke personal training packages, and with no contract required to access the gym, we can be fully flexible to suit your schedule.
Here at Maverick, we love nothing more than to allow people to experience the benefits of pilates, and this is why we can often be found popping up at health and fitness events.
We were privileged enough to join the line up at Fitfluence, where guests were immersed in all things fitness and body related. Together with PT Hannah Fox, writer extraordinaire, Amy Abrahams, and Adidas Global ambassador and run-crusader Adrienne Ldn, we were brought in to teach very different things, but we were all unified by wanting to promote body confidence and to communicate the message that women should be supporting women in everything they do.
Maverick also regularly works with Healthy Hospo, an organisation that promotes a healthy way of life for those working within the hospitality industry. We had the pleasure of bringing an “intro to pilates” session to the attendees of the brand’s launch event at Core Clapton. Our practical session focused on how pilates can counter some of the stresses we all put our bodies through in our daily work routines, giving attendees the tools to add a little movement into their daily lives.
Do you have an event coming up? If you are interested in having Maverick pop up at your event, please do let us know. We would love to be involved!
What our clients say about us…
“Sue is an extremely experienced teacher who is enthusiastic about Pilates and fitness in general. She's not just a fantastic teacher with exceptional knowledge; her helpful, positive and caring manner inspires me every day as a pilates student and she's making a massive impact on my journey to become an instructor. Her love for Pilates is infectious and her training is enjoyable and challenging at the same time” Sofia, Chiswick, private client
“Sue's teaching skills and style as well as her commitment and enthusiasm is truly motivational. A perfect blend of hard work and fun - I always leave her classes smiling.” Lucy, Chiswick, private client
“I joined one of Maverick Pilates Movement classes about 3 months ago, and I love it! I started due to problems with my lower back and have defiantly noticed a massive difference. Sue is fantastic! I can’t recommend her enough. She takes the time to correct your mistakes and each class is different. I always look forward to my next lesson” Amanda, Chiswick, private client
" I have participated in many different Pilates lessons with many different instructors however the session with Maverick was by far the best I have experienced. Not only did it offer a unique location, but the class was individually adapted to each persons ability rather than the one size fits all approach which you usually get. Sue also talked to us the importance of different stretches and how we can do them at home or in the office, this was great advice as I now stretch more frequently and has improved my posture. And to top it off there was a mini class on cocktail mixing! What more do you want! Alex, Watford, B&H goes Maverick
