Welcome to Maverick Pilates Movement! Here at Maverick, we like to do things a little differently. We know that trying new things can be tough, which is why we are on a mission to debunk the myths surrounding pilates. We also appreciate it can be tough to fit in your practise around everyday life, which is why we offer a fully flexible approach to your training.
So, is pilates right for you? Let us let you into a little secret. It's for everyone! Built around eight key principles of relaxation, concentration, co-ordination, centring, alignment, breathing, stamina and flowing movements, pilates will give you an awareness and understanding of how your body should work, and help restore it to the best version of it that it can be.
And the best bit? Absolutely everyone can benefit from it, whatever your level of fitness or activity. Often used for rehab, it can help with injuries, and we regularly partner with physios to ensure you have the most appropriate treatment possible. If you are a regular gym goer, cyclist or runner, pilates will help you focus on mastering correct movement in all you do; ensuring you are working to your fullest potential.
